Embrace the Chaos!

The Dining area in my kitchen has been turned into "scrap storage"!! It's absolute madness!! We're getting the carpets cleaned in our house this week - so things needed to be "re-arranged"

Here's my empty scrap room - doesn't it look sad!! See that little shadow in the carpet? The carpet needs to be stretched. But..... to do that all the furniture needed to be moved. My desk was actually built in that room, and much to our suprise would not be taken out easily. We had to remove the top and separate the 2 sides of the desk!! Thank goodness I wasn't here to see it!! My "baby" taken out in pieces!! So I'm doing my best to "embrace the chaos" until the carpets are done and I can get the pieces back together again!

And you know chaos loves chaos.... On top of the madness today with moving stuff around my scrap room, my washing machine has "issues"... something has gotten stuck and is rolling around in there...no doubt a lego piece from my son's jeans. So it's in pieces as well. So...here' wishing all you a "chaos free" day :-)

Cute Kids Picture Frame!

My boys went camping with scouts this weekend and made this adorable picture frame from sticks, acorns and string! I just love it - had to share!

My Kids are the Cutest!!!

Ok - so I am Biased, sure...but my kids are so stinkin' cute. While making their beds, they "tucked in" their stuffed animals! Notice the 2 green noses sticking out from under the pink blanket above, there's 2 stuffed gaters in there. They "Needed to be cozy" while the boys were gone at school!! Yep, I want to freeze time and keep them this age forever!!

Project Life!

Hey all! A scrapping friend of mine and I are taking the plunge this year and doing "Project Life"-by Becky Higgins. If you take the link shown in My Favorites - it will show you the product in more detail. The concept is to take 1 picture and journal about it each day for an entire year! And the kit gives you everything you need to do it!! There's even new designs coming out in December (take a look on Becky's blog)!! Fun Stuff!! My friend and I plan on keeping each other motivated to get this done (and not slack off :-)... Anyone out there care to join us???

Here I Am!!

Hey There! Here it is... my very first blog post!!! Why on earth am here?? That's an excellent question. Well...I really felt like doing something crafty/chatty online...and thanks to modern technology a BLOG was the obvious answer. So there you have it. Simply put! I thought I'd start off with one of my favorite things about scrapbooking...my Library of memories album system. I use Stacy Julian's system of scrapbooking (more details to follow). Here's a picture of the albums I use. They are "We R Memory Keepers" post bound albums and I absolutely LOVE them!! They are linen covered, sturdy and beautiful!!

Here's the one book I think every scrapbooker should read "The Big Picture" by Stacy Julian. If you haven't read it, just do it. You won't regret it!!
